It’s been well over a decade and I still can’t properly express how I feel about 9/11, so I definitely won’t try to here. But I did want to share photos from when my sister and I visited the 9/11 Memorial and Museum this January.
The experience of visiting the memorial was a somber one. It was quiet and peaceful as we walked around the plaza, taking every piece of detail in. Chills grew on my arms as I read the names of the people who passed carved along the edging of the reflection pools. The sound of the deep waterfalls added a powerful background noise to the entire area; a place for reflection.
