Peninsula Hot Springs

You’ve been working your butt off since the start of the year. You’ve been kicking ass, taking names, hustlin’, and all of that. You’ve been doing it all with the resilience of a college sophomore intent on getting crazy during Spring Break.

Unfortunately, Spring Break is not a thing in Australia but Easter is, and it’s finally here. Yes! A long, lazy weekend – just when we all need it. It’s time to sit back, relax and put on your bathing suit because there is nowhere better to go than the Peninsula Hot Springs.

The spa haven is the definition of relaxation. So, please, allow me to recommend the breakfast and bath house deal Jack and I indulged in.

Breakfast in the spa dreaming centre cafe was the real expected treat. Our food was delicious and we got healthy green juices which would normally be too $$$ for us. We somehow ended up saving around $40 bucks in the end. Additionally, there is the bath house cafe for more casual eating and a kid friendly area. Also, there is an allocated picnic area so you can enjoy food from offsite.

Then we got down to the bath house business. The 360 degree view hilltop pool is the place to start, end and stay. The turkish bath, or hamam, was a personal favorite. Jack’s favorite was the cold plunge pool, which he forced me to go into after the sauna – I would go in to all the health benefits but I’ll just keep trusting the professionals. The reflexology walk was an unexpected treat – I wish I could wake up to one every morning. And don’t even get me started on the hydro jet pool – it’s the one time that being selfish and keeping the jet to yourself is totally encouraged.

Plus, if you want to turbo charge your time there, the spa dreaming centre offers private bathing, massage treatments of all sorts and wellness activities. The opportunities are endless.

4 quick tips:
1) Get there either really early or really late. It’s worth getting some pools all to yourself.
2) Book in ahead of visiting.
3) It’s best to go when the weather is mildly cold and overcast. So basically, any time is a good time.
4) Bring flip flops to walk around in and soap to shower after the fun. These will not be supplied.
BONUS TIP) Robes will be supplied. Robes are the best.
