Going Rogue

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAOLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAOLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAWhen ordering food one must sometimes risk it all and go rogue.

Since I couldn’t spend mother’s day with my very own mother I did the next best thing and spent it with Jill, Jack’s mom (also known as my mum away from my mom). Jill made a reservation for 7 at Pireaus Blues on Brunswick street for delicious greek food! Yummm! But we’re not here today to talk about the food, necessarily.

See, the plan was to order from the Mother’s Day banquet special for a total of $50 a head. It was great, sure. Until we realized none of the plates on that menu included feta cheese. What!? No dish with Jill’s favorite cheese ever? In a greek restaurant? On her special day? I don’t think so.

So what did Jill do? She went rogue! She asked for a normal menu and left any talk of the mother’s day banquet behind. She, instead, took it upon herself to order a delicious feast for us all to pick and share from. Almost every plate chosen included feta cheese in some capacity. It was heaven and everyone was better off for it.

Lesson learned – when something isn’t going the way you’d like and your able to do something about it, immediately change it and have the best day ever!

If that’s not a woman after my heart I’m not sure who is.
